as the number eligible for citizenship in a given year. There is also
data here on trends in immigration, and a link to the annual Yearbook

many former INS/Department of Department of Justice functions to the new

general statistical information or research reports that the USCIS site
does.

This site provides links to laws, public laws pertaining to immigration,
and a compilation of historical statutes from 1790 to 1996. There are
also links to current USCIS regulations and those from related agencies
such as Health and Human Services, Department of State. There are also
links to handbooks, manuals and guides for immigrants and those who provide
services to them. This site also provides links to statistics (outlined
above).
