        To find consumer spending information, look for the section on:
                    Demographics-- Click on the link Consumer Expenditures.
                                Examine the tables for General Overview.  Also, to define terms,
                                examine the Glossary.

        Information provided by the Census Bureau.
        Use Subject Guide A to Z index or browse links for People or Business

Federal Reserve http://www.federalreserve.gov/
        The Federal Reserver supervises and regulates banking institutions and protects the
        credit rights of consumers.  This site provides information on consumer credit and
        finances.
                    Examine information under the link Research and Data
                           
Look for Statistical Releases (Consumer Credit) OR
                            Surveys and Reports (Survey of Consumer Finances)
   
                 Also, use the search feature to find information (e.g. college students and
                    credit)

        This Center provides various statistics about Education in the United States.

        The Institute provides various statistics about international students enrolled in
        Postsecondary Education.  Make sure to examine the statistics for International
        Students in the Opendoors Web Site (published by the Institute).  You may go directly
        to Opendoors at http://opendoorsweb.org/

         Search Engine to 47 million U.S. and State web sites.

        Another Census Bureau site providing information on population statistics by state and by county.

  Credit Card Nation http://www.creditcardnation/Free/website/www/ 
        This is the web site of Robert Manning, the Gannett Professor of the Humanities at
        Rochester Institute of Technology.   Site includes info on two studies by Manning
        about credit cards on campus, and links to many articles on the subject
         from publications around the nation. (Click to "media reports" and "activities," for

        You may want to check the Iowa State site too.

            Check out http://www.campusfood.com. This is a clever idea.  Restaurants that are
            near colleges and universities provide online ordering services.  Wouldn't it be great
            to have a link to Ruby Tuesday off of  the college's main web site?!?!?! Imagine
            going to the site and ordering off of the menu--ONLINE!
