For Words and the Land 2008, we hiked and sauntered through and in the vicinity of the following places: White Oak Sinks in the Smokies, a junkyard, the Devil's Racetrack in Campbell County, Third Creek Trail in Knoxville, and man-made obstructions to the free flowing of the Tennessee and Little Tennessee rivers.
